Massage Therapy

Stressed or sore? This is for you.

Drawing on my diverse skillset, I use the most useful techniques to treat the human you are on the day rather than giving a cookie cutter treatment.

Massage approaches that I use:

  • Deep Tissue
  • Holistic
  • Pregnancy & Post-Natal
  • TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction)
  • Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy
  • Sports

Massage Therapy

Treatments can include:

  • Trigger point therapy
  • Fascial techniques
  • Advanced stretching
  • Mobilisation
  • Acupressure
  • Intra-oral work
  • Soft tissue release
  • Amma (a form of bodywork borrowing from Shiatsu and Tui-Na)

You don’t need to have a clue what any of that means to enjoy and benefit from your treatment. All treatments include a consultation, so I have the opportunity to really hear you, and together we can identify what you’re most in need of.

What do the different massage approaches mean?

Advanced Clinical Massage

I have trained with the prestigious Jing Institute in the non-invasive treatment of injuries and chronic pain conditions through soft tissue therapy. Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy is a results-driven multi-modal approach to working with chronic pain and injuries. Working in a collaborative way from the outset, we set goals that are meaningful to you – working towards outcomes such as pain reduction, improved range of motion, and enhanced quality of life.

Deep Tissue massage in East London

Deep Tissue Massage aims to work the deeper muscles and fascia to release long-standing tension you’re holding, which can help treat ongoing pain. Contrary to popular belief, it doesn’t have to hurt, and that’s not really my style. I use research-backed techniques such as trigger point therapy, with deeper work applied gradually to minimise discomfort.

Holistic Massage

Holistic Massage can be deeply soothing and nurturing, it’s possible (and accepted!) that you will nod off during treatment. Weaving together great music, intentional breath and uplifting scents, this is a real treat for the senses. Enjoy this opportunity to get out of the thinking mind and into your body.

Pregnancy / Post-Natal Massage

Pregnancy and Post-Natal Massages are adapted to support the needs of those growing or nurturing a tiny person, and the postural changes and pain patterns that may follow. A range of lovely soft-tissue techniques can be folded into a treatment that meets your needs that day.

TMJ Massage Treatments

TMJ treatments are focused on the neck, shoulders and facial muscles most affected by disorders of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ). Symptoms associated with this include headaches, bruxism and chronic tension, which respond well to a course of sessions. These treatments can include intra-oral work, trigger points and ongoing self-care suggestions between treatments.

All of that said… I am a big fan of ripping up the rulebook and treating the individual. Bring me your body in whatever state of stress it’s in, and together we’ll figure out something that meets you where you are at.
